I just tried this and it worked ok
play clip in media player(7)
hit pause
hit print screen
open picture editor
press ctrl V
crop media player off the picture

buy a program or use good old PRINT SCREEN and the photoshop.. if it shows up black the first time, just try again, nomrally will work the second time

That stopped working after I switched to XP. So did the old program I used to take caps from movies.. ugh. I havn't been able to find a way to take screenshots from Windows Media Player in XP Home.. at least not on my system.

I bet once you went through a 30 min movie file you could do it faster than thumbspro ...

as long as its not a .wmv I use virtual dub....great frame by frame control for those crystal clear shots.
