Damn, just saw an accident

and got pictures of all of it!

The guy plowed into parked cars so hard that it damaged 3 cars... and popped off his back tire! He opened his door and his dog ran out... so he tried to get the dog. The dog was smart, he ran away.
The guy stammered all over the place trying to get him, finally gave up... sat in his car, took a drink and drove off on 3 tires!!

I have pictures of him in the car drinking, I have pictures of him falling all over and I have pictures of him driving off without a tire, complete with a clear license plate.

He's busted!!

The problem is, the cops were too fast. They came, took my camera into evidence and I didn't get a chance to download the pics!! Dammit!

So now I sit here with no camera. I'll get that back shortly but without a video card. They say they'll "replace it sometime soon."

Grrr.... oh well, at least I did my good deed today.

Can they take the entire memory card?

Why wouldn't they just let you burn the images to a disc?

Because the guy is a danger to society.... they know who he is, having busted him before. They want him locked away.

So this is their ticket... and they don't want to risk any corruption or file loss or anything of that matter. They're treating it as important evidence.

Hopefully they don't go cheap on getting me a slow ass little memory card replacement.

Getting seized equipment back from the cops can be a nightmare, and quite often, its not in the same condition that they took it in. Then again, to speed up the process, or get compensation for damages, you'll have to go in front of a judge with your attorney.

Yeah... we'll see how this goes. I am kinda nervous.

The cop though was like "Wow, this is like Christmas!" when I showed him the pics. I had him taking drinks, I had him falling over, I had him driving with only 3 tires.... the works.

WTF guys you complain about a memory card more then he do ... and he's the one who lost it.

I'd be glad to be able to help thoses guys lock up this asshole... a memory card is no big deal

Yup, the dog was very friendly... we (neighbors and I) had him when the cops got here.

He came to us no problem... but stayed very far away from that guy. Like I said, smart dog!

And yeah, it was a shame about Vegas. s'ok though, our paths will cross again

So the cop brought my camera back already without the video card. They still need that. BUT he did say he'd do his best to get it back to me tomorrow and even see what he can do about keeping the pictures on it.

Not only that, but he said that I was so "personable" in talking to me about this and that... he even wants to bring me a pirated copy of some software for me to work on my images with!!

Gotta love the cops... a great source for warez
