*okay I'm showing my age so I'll explain the phrase "your slip is showing."*

Goes back to when a girl would wear a dress and her slip was showing which would be a cause for embarassment.

In other words if you're a guy, a true friend would let you know you've got a booger hanging from your nose instead of just letting it sit there all day...LOL

I agree... we are all human and we all sometimes get ourselves into embarassing situations. I'm lucky enough that all of my current friends would tell me if my "slip was showing" and I am proud to do them the same service!

Everyone else can just go to hell! LOL

A true friend is one who holds you to a higher and better standard, regardless of consequences. In this case, the true friend would let you know your slip is showing.

Hmm. If my friend were physically unable to because of a medical condition, perhaps.

Actually a *real* friend would chat with you a bit while the booger was hanging so only he could get in on the laugh...keep it going for a bit & then right when your about done tell you its there... a real friend would ride it a bit to have a good laugh first.
