    mainstream boards have a 20-30$ fee month not to see ads, would gfy do that?

              I could easily eliminate GFY's ads with AdBlock, but I wouldn't want to. Occasionally, I'll find something interesting and follow up on it.


              Sure, this board is great for general chat, but its also a great way to find new programs and resources.

                                  i'd pay for a feature to be able to delete certain threads forever

                                  like i come to GFY and see thread titles like

                                  "would you hit it" "im tripping balz" "new content sets added to our store", "helo, i am new here" or whatever bullshit that i am sure i dont want to read, and i am "unchecking" these threads and then they disappear for me forever instead of being bumped constantly to the top for the next 24 hours

                                  something like filtering, i ope GFy in the morning, and i "delete" ( or make "invisible" ) 100 threads and then the good 10 good ones that im interested in, will be on always on top, easy to find for me
                                  I don't use ICQ anymore.

                                          That would be cool... a thread filter based on keywords or nicks.

                                              I adblock as well. If there weren't any dangerous mouseover sound banners... I wouldn't. Sometimes there are interesting things.

                                                  Thats stupid as hell..I like the ads if I see a promo I will signup via GFY "someones ref or the GFY banner" If we didn't have ads we wouldn't have known about AAC at all or Dating Gold.. I would still mtree for all I know.

                                                      It's really easy not to see the ads on here. all you need is adblocker, or firefox with flash blocker.

                                                      Personally I block all flash banners because of sound. The other ones don't bother me.

                                                              Just turn off sigs and use firefox. Only ads are at the very top and bottom.

                                                                      I don't block ads to support the board. This is free to us, but if they keep adding those stupid ass flash ads that popup on you then I will definately be blocking ads soon.

                                                                              The worst ads are the flash ones with the extremely loud sound. I wouldn't mind one bit if all the ads were silent.
