    Inflation kept in check

But for how long? With the current massive defecits, I don't know how much longer this can go on. The dollar is going to hit a brick wall soon, and I just hope that it isn't as bad as it could be. Given the current US spending, we can only hope for a quick recovery when an administration with some monetary sense comes into office.

Is it time to begin buying gold and pounds sterling?

Aww damn, I guess everyone just doesn't want to discuss monetary policy today.

If you read the article, it notes that core inflation does not include "food and energy costs." Putting it mildly, excluding these two categories does not give an accurate picture of the impact of inflation on the average American.

I remember on the 1st of January. The US treasury announced that in 2 months the US government will no longer have enough money for daily operation

i read the US doesnt give out their dollar printing stats in public anymore. That means they can print as much as they want when they need more, it also means that the dollar will decrease in value majorly.. very fucked up for us webmasters out of the US.

If the issue was whether the US debt ceiling would be broken, it already has been. It just means that they will pass another extension of our debt ceiling and print more money - of course, this does not cause any inflation.
