    Need Help, Totally New at this Game!!!

    Was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on how to start, run and operate an affiliate program? I know absolutely squat about how to do it or where to start... my friend is giving a shot at running the affiliate program on his site so i would really like to start with the basics and move along as i learn. The site is well established and has good monthly sales but none coming from affiliates, all basically coming from banner adds and purchased traffic. Wanna help by taking his sales to the next level with the affiliates.
    Any help would be much appreciated.
