    Was the US government involved in 911?

    Hell I dont know. But lots and lots of people say that they pulled it off. Others say that they knew it was going to happen, and did nothing to stop it so that they could then go after Iraq, and the oil, and revenge.

    I dont know. Toooooooo many theories, and not enough proof.
    But today, I read something that made me shiver.



    ORT MEADE, Md. ? President Bush, defending the government's secret surveillance program, said Wednesday that Americans should take Osama bin Laden seriously when he says he's going to attack again.

    "When he says he's going to hurt the American people again, or try to, he means it," Bush told reporters after visiting the top-secret National Security Agency where the surveillance program is based. "I take it seriously, and the people of NSA take it seriously."

    If they were involved, then I think that this idiot may do something to prove his agenda. things are not looking to good for him, and an " Event " would prove him right as well as justify his need to monitor US citizens.

Third and final issue is there would be way too many people to keep quiet. Its why they fix boxing instead of basketball. This is a dead horse that will do nothing but turn to a flame war which is rather boring, so you guys can discuss amongst yourselves, but No I dont think the government sent this whole 9/11 into action themselves to go after Iraq. That's stretching it

                                                                          well, whether 911 was usa gov sponsored, or supported by letting it happen, what i do know is that, that is the one single event our country will forver use as an excuse (or call it reason, whatever) to invade anywhere they see fit to fight the war on 'terrorism'... which can be used to mask the REAL reason we are doing what we are doing.

                                                                          and from a business standpoint, which is how i see government, as a 'business', i can easily see why invading iraq and afghaniston is both lucrative and beneficial for the usa's bottom dollar and growth / expansion in the future. And one thing that most with knowledge in politics, economy, and history will agree on: without competition, acquisitions and mergers (i.e., WARs), big guys eating up the little guys, etc, etc, a business (country/nation/etc) will not thrive in the marketplace (world as a whole) because survival is all about adaptation, expansion, and evolution. Nature will even show you that nothing lasts forever and whatever has come close to it has undergone a lot of change in order to survive.

                                                                          For the USA to sustain itself and hold the grips it has, its gotta make some serious moves. And most of them you cant just outright say what they are because it would defeat the purpose of said moves.

Why would someone sit them there? Hmm. Maybe if they were bombed, then we could get the American people to back the US government getting into a war that did not invlove them.


                                                                              I do believe that the US allowed that to happen. As I believe that they allowed 911 to happen.

                                                                              The debate still goes on about what hit the pentagon. But I can say this for sure.                                                                                                                           They wanted Hawaii for a military base stepping stone to Alaska.

                                                                                                                          Japan had no oil to fuel their war machine.

                                                                                                                          It was probably a damn good idea to have the Pacific fleet sit in a Pacific base with all that shit going down.

                                                                                                                          Besides it wasn't like Japan was some push over that we just had to take advantage of.

                                                                                                                                                  It was not long ago Bush also said Osama did not matter and was irrelevant - then never mentioned his name for almost two years.

                                                                                                                                                  Now when shit over the NSA raises it's head, Osama becomes the reason Bush needs to spy on folks without court warrants and does the usual "threat" verbal of "our nation is under attack" with quotes like Osama is "going to hurt the American people again".

                                                                                                                                                  Osama is a wonderful "convenience" and can be pulled out of the cupboard and used to present a case for anything - including justification for domestic spying without warrants.

                                                                                                                                                  Osama never was irrelevant. Even if he dies or is captured - he'll still be relevant and most likely become a martyr and have others taking up his role. There may be good reasons why bin Laden has never been caught. It's also useful to have an enemy.

                                                                                                                                                  Only my worth, but bin Laden is not a valid reason for avoiding the law and wire tapping. Ya don't throw laws out the window because of people who like to blow stuff up. No self-respecting "terrorist" is going to be using forms of communication which can be "tapped". If the NSA or Bush seriously think that - there are no bounds to naivity.
