Why is it that some of the most succesfull gay porn sites feature ugly guys?

I don't honestly think that's the case. If you look at gay sites that convert really well, and retain really well, they have really good looking men on them.

Some of what you might call the "larger" gay sites that have ugly guys all over them, are actually run by large "straight" affiliate programs. They're large, and have a lot of traffic, because "straight" affiliates throw their gay traffic to them, since they're already members of the program.

Straight affiliates look at conversions of 1:500 and go whoa that site converts great! When in reality, if they worked with some of the smaller gay owned and operated affiliate programs, they'd be getting conversions of somewhere around 1:100 with the same traffic.

Unlike straight porn where what the guy looks like doesn't matter, in gay porn the man's looks ARE the number one priority. And no, gay guys don't like ugly men anymore than straight guys like ugly women....
