For some news stories, they must be titillating and original. Older women taking advantage of underage boys still fulfills both those requirements.

The reason you don't hear about male teachers molesting female/male students all the time is the same reason you don't hear about the deaths happening in your community every day; it's just not "newsworthy".

I heard something on MSNBC the other night that they are trying to recapture the excitement of their youth when they were young and wanted by men and boys. After they marry and have kids their lives become so mundane and excitementless and they arent as desired anymore. Or something like that
