Just a friendly traffic generation reminder. Not really new, many of you probably know this but I guess it won't hurt to post here maybe other webmasters might get something from this.

I already posted this at http://justtraffic.blogspot.com when it was still alive but I have been dramatically reminded recently of the power of checking my ref logs. Check your referrer logs. There might be gold traffic nuggets there. On one of my mainstream blogs, I noticed a quirky little-looking site that kept sending traffic. Lo and behold it was a drama site and my links were being used as 'factual ammunition' in a drama thread. So... I joined the site and goosed up the drama and seeded it with more links (attached to commentary, of course). Traffic shot through the roof.
