Are JHP's iilegal because they are ment to kill someone?
I was talking to someone with a milltary back ground he claims standard issue rounds have to be FMJ because of the geneva convention?
So....If you mod any bullet it's an illegal bullet? |

The landwar convention from The Hague doesn't allow fragmenting bullets for purposes of war, so every army in the world uses FMJ bullets. Usually a hit from a conventional FMJ doesn't kill, but leaves a clean hole. No hunter will use FMJ, since they want to kill, not to wound.

depends...a fmj .223 is just as likely to kill someone as a hallowpoint, it will enter the neck & come out the asshole because of the spin & tumble

And p.s.
doing any type of mod to a factory round is very dangerous...not only to yourself while mod'n....but when they are fired out of the gun for instance i think it was in jaws or something, the guy hallowed out a round & poured in poison or something...thats horseshit, it could fragment in the bore & cause the next round to warp the barrel or blow up in your face |

FMJ or full metal jackat.. reason there FMJ and not hollow point is due to the reliablity.. nothing is cleaner than a nice "ball point" which is what we always called it... I always keep my 2nd clip with FMJ
