back on topic though, wordpress is the standard i think. you could also try blogger if you want, but i think wordpress gives you the most control |

wordpress and autoblogger. Even if you aren't using it for rss feeds you there is a lot of good stuff you can do with it.

nice layout of features across the board...
http://redalt.com/wiki/Blog+Software+Breakdown for simplicity of setup and use, WP for sure but if you love nice static pages, MT there's a wide range inbetween, but seriously if you are starting out, go with WP...holler if you want a list of seriously 'must have' plugins and setup to get you rolling...
