Just watched The Transporter 2... ugh

Ok ok. I have no problem with action flick unrealism, but this was just ridiculous.

slight spoiler

First he shelters himself from a submachine gun with a wooden door, then this chick blows up a helicopter with the same gun in about 2 second. and i dont mean makes it crash, it litterally blew into pieces. then he knocks a bomb off the bottom of his car by running it off a ramp, doing a full roll in mid air such that the bomb on the bottom gets knocked off by the ball and chain hanging from a construction crane.

I can't even remember the other things.

Yeah - I knew it would blow from the trailers a few months back. Glad I saved my money and created pocket lint with it.

Saw it last night, its a complete waste of time. Like you mentioned the action was so unrealistic it was fucking comical. It should have been an animated film. I love when the completely out of control jet crashes, unpiloted, full throttle into the ocean, and barely fills up with water with a torn off rear end as it sinks to the bottom slowly. The movie is a fucking joke.

I just burned it to watch tonight. Honestly though...movies are fantasy. If it wasn't amazing and unreal, it wouldn't be worth watching. I don't want to see the same boring crap I get in my everyday life in movies.

And what about when the plane is spinning out of control and it seems the people in the plane have no trouble whatsoever remaining standing upright.

Was funny when they swam out of the submerged plane you could see the edge of a pool beyond them. You would think that they would fix something that simple.

I wouldn't go as far as saying worst movie of the year until you've seen "The Ringer" but this one is a very close 2nd place.

Turn your brain off. The movie was fine. Wouldn't waste time on a second viewing . . . but it was entertaining. Statham is always fun to watch as he kicks ass. He's going up against Jet Li in a new movie called Rogue. Li is the bad guy in that one (and this could be his last martial arts movie - he wants to do drama).

there are many action flicks that I would want to watch only for the action sequences. If only I can edit out the parts where they discuss the sucky plot maybe I can enjoy it more.

That movie was absolutely comical for me. It wasn't action movie, it was comical...I couldn't stop laughing at how unrealistic it was.

Not that good but not the worst either. Statham's superhero character made that film quite silly though..

When I saw the first one I felt the same way, I guess it depends on how much anti-realism you can tolerate that determines whether you'd like this movie or not. I saw the trailer for it on TV and saw him jump some 20ft straight up in to air to dodge two cars colliding beneath him - that pretty much told me what to expect.

At least in the matrix trilogy movies they explained it in a tangable manner that coherantly fitted in to the plot.

...I was entertained

Although the barrel roll with the Audi under the construction crane to knock the bomb off was a bit over the top. I laughed.

I knew it would suck once I heard they were setting it in Miami instead of Europe.
Took away some of that "James Bond" ambiance that the first one had.

One scene, involving Frank's on-the-move solution for disarming a bomb under his car, is particularly impressive. However, that's just about all the film has going for it.
