Wow, 72 million Euro dollar domain campaign
Anti-smoking TV ads
Advertisements underlining the dangers of tobacco will be returning to television screens across the 25 European Union members from tomorrow. While not condemning smokers, the adverts aim to ridicule the cigarette itself. The adverts are part of an EU-wide EU$72 million campaign, Help For A Life Without Tobacco, mainly aimed at youths. The organisers of the campaign explained that more than 5,000 commercials will be broadcast over 80 national channels and the internet. In Malta, the adverts will be broadcast on the state television channel, PBS. As from tomorrow the Help campaign website (www.help-eu.com) will take a new format, with a new "absurd zone" page added to it. The organisers said the site will be made "more interactive and attractive". http://www.timesofmalta.com/core/article.php?id=210432
