Is there something similar to trillian....

but has a good search function?

Just got the new computer now I gotta reinstall everything under the sun and I really don't like trillian. I need something that you can type in the first, second, third, letters of a name and have a list to choose from.

I wonder if that's the one I'm thinking of... grr I wish I could remember. There was one that I saw in action and it was awesome.

It has to be able to load an icq list over over a thousand or two as well. Trillian is the only thing so far that will open my list.

Anyone else??

Thanks loverboy

Didn't like the feel of it and it kept disconnecting through my firewall for MSN. I went back to using the real ICQ, its still a little buggy but better than the other ones.

Qq

I have no problems with ICQ. works with all messenger programs pretty much.

just curious, what's the search feature do? search for contacts in your list?

ps. i just got new pc and also have to re-install everything. however, i heard there's a program that will copy all your old settings, programs, etc.. over to a new pc. i just started a thread looking for it. if anyone knows, please tell me/us the name.

always wanted to install trilian but i often encounter
severe connection problems so I ended up using
the standalone ICQ program

somehow, i was getting all sorts of errors upon installing GAIM

Morgan, yeah if you find it can you let me know? This is a royal pain in the ass.

Thanks! I went ahead and downloaded trillian. I can't use icq. Haven't been able to for a couple years cuz my list is so big. There's no way that I can delete enough either. I'm gonna snoop on this version and see if I can search the list at all.
