i didnt think it was that bad, just keep ice on your cheeks for a day or so. good part was all i did was have milkshakes for a few days. no pain killers needed, they were saved for later use.

Just let the teeth grow in.
All you need to do is pull your front middle tooth out, and the wisdom teeth with push your other teeth together and close the gap.
If you trust me, then cancel your meeting with the dentist and yank out the middle tooth. It will save you money & hurt less.

Update...you won't fucking believe it.

I go in Dentist says let's do this...let's reschedule for the 22nd...you come in we put you under sedation...and then we go ahead and pull all 4 wisdom teeth and the last 2 on the top row.

Fuck...6 teeth in one damn day.

He wanted to reschedule because he said it wouldn't be wise to have me go through this twice.

Man and I was all ammped and nervous...LOL...and now I've got almost 2 more weeks of this discomfort...but he did throw some tylenol 3's my way.

I read on dentist sites on the net that you can OPT for full anasthesia if you are REALLY scared and don't want to be conscious during the procedure (It will cost a bit more though)

It will be nasty though, because they are going to have to sew stitches in your gums afterwards.... I really don't want to be conscious while someone is sticking a needle in my gums

I got my shit pulled years ago and I WANTED to be put under! I didn't want to see anyone in my mouth with a pair of pliers yanking out some of my teeth! No Way Jose!

As for anyone dying...nope, can't say I've heard anyone dying while going under at a Dentist office...have heard about it happening when someone goes into to see a Doctor though!

To help with any infection and to help quickly reduce the pain, the Dentist 'might' put some of this 'string like' material in the GAPS where your teeth were once at. They soak it in some sort of liquid, then insert it into your mouth. Pretty weird but I do recall it taking a very short amount of time to get back to regular eating.!

I can't say I'd be excited to get 6 TEETH pulled in one day though. Either you've got a wacked dentist...or one fucked up mouth!

Good luck w/the surgery....and ask for those pills UP FRONT...you don't want to forget about em!

Well 4 of those are my wisdom teeth..and the other 2 are from years of eating ice...all my front teeth are fine..no cavities.

I was told years ago to stop eating ice because it breaks down the enamel on your teeth...and did I listen? LOL NO.

I've been having those 2 teeth treated over the years with fillings etc...but alas they still have to come out.

They could still salvage them but they told me I am just postponing the inevitable and since I need my wisdom teeth out to just go ahead and yank those as well.

Either way I'm not looking forward to it.

I had my 2 top wisdom teeth extracted about 2 years ago. I just got the novacaine shot, not put under. It didn't hurt when they were doing it except for the 2 needles to the roof of my mouth. The dentist gave me some pain killers, but I never used them. I kept waiting for the shots to wear off and the pain to start, but it never did. I was eating solid food the next day. These were just straight forward extractions and no cutting was involved. If they cut you can expect LOTS more pain.

AKKKK!!! Fuck...I like my teeth I like them just where they are..pain or no pain....unfortunatley my dentist felt the way yours does! He choose to pull the ones he had a problem with. Few painkillers and a chaser...and all the sudden it is a good experience (until it all runs out) Suck it up and enjoy the pain killers..or save them for me and cherrylula...!!

The needles were for the novacaine, to numb the mouth. Then they get something like an ice pick and pry the tooth out of joint, then the pliers to yank it. I felt just a little pressure, but no pain.

i put ice and i got a huge number of painkillers for the rest of my life. I hope this shit will pass by very soon. The pain hasnt started yet and i'm not in an hurry.

the dentist is computer freak and during the operation we have a small talk about casino sites,the fucker when the operation finished and couldn't talk,open my mouth or do any small movement kept asking me different stuff for computers while i barely was able to say yes or no

doctors talk more than taxi drivers!
