Johnson didn't do shit. Clinton and Carter signed orders pertaining to illegal aliens living in the USA. Dubya spied on US citizens, which are protected by the constitution. Unless they were already spying then how would they know that keywords were being mentioned in the phone calls?

That being said, there is still some issue on its legality. He may have acted in a totally legal manner whether I like it or not.

There will be no impeachment this year. Some of those that are up for reelection will make noise but it won?t happen. Most of the news media is controlled by the administration right now and people listen to it blindly with out checking facts. Dubya?s rating would have to fall below 35% for him to be impeached.

Also bombs will fall in Iran this summer. A good war always helps get voters to the polls and makes them forget about other things.

If things still go sour there will need to be an actual attempt foiled on US soil.

Think about the impeachment process. Lets say he is found guilty and steps down. Then guess who gets the job. Imagine Halliburton replacing the IRS, Army Corps of Engineers and managing the nations oil reserves.

You asked for proof that he was breaking the law, so I gave it to you. I can really careless who says it is right or wrong, but the fact is, the Constitution says it is illegal and that is all that really matters. The government is run by what is on paper not by whom is elected for a measly 4 year term. The person elected to the 4 year term has to obey the paper, if they don't obey the paper, then they are breaking the law.

George W Bush will be gone soon, but the Constitution will be here for the life of the republic.

I would be interested in seeing someone create a thread highlighting all the wonderful things that have been accomplished by the President and his team since 2000. We always see the negative here, but none of the supporters really show much of a positive outlook. Instead it's always " oh yeah ? Well Dems are bad too, here's why ... blah blah ". Let's see what great things have been accomplished so far.

That is exactly why the FISA courts where made into LAW so that a Judge would have to decide if a wire tap is legal and warranted.

They even give 3days or 15days in war time after the taps to for the administration to bring the warrants to them.

The way it is now the little king decides who what where and why with no oversight. That is what makes it illegal and against the constitution.

The question is why does Bush have to hide from the courts?

The answer is that he is tapping people he knew the courts whould not agree to.
