Question for people using Wells Fargo

Are you charged to receive wire transfers? My branch claims everyone from small accounts to million dollar accounts must pay to receive each wire. It doesn't make a bit of sense to me. Why would they charge to put guaranteed funds into your account.

Thanks,
Mark

Yeah that is what I was thinking but it seems like it doesn't matter what amount you make according to them.

most banks charge for wires.

I use WF, but only for my home mortgage.

Yes...processing fee charged for every wire incoming or outgoing. Doesn't make any sense for the incoming!

Change banks.

WF only charges me $5 to send a wire transfer

That is great.

Citibank charges nothing to recieve it

On the other hand, I have another bank that charges $20 for a transfer.
