Shows you how simple-minded the average American is. I have a friend who says Reagan was great, although I remember him in the 80's making fun of me for listening to political talk. But now, because it's a trendy thing to listen to right-wing spewers, he thinks he knows it all. I asked him who Reagan's VP was and he couldn't answer.

Ask most people how they learned "history" and it won't be from observation of current events through multiple news sources, but from their favorite talk show host's slanted dialogue. It's a lazy way for the uneducated of this country to feel knowledgable and participatory in political rhetoric that they often know nothing of beyond apeing that day's talking points.
