![]() Hello,
Does anyone have a .htaccess script that successfully works to protect .mpg files? I heard that it wasn't possible because Windows Media Player and other players send a referrer or something that causes problems? Alos, besides ASCII upload and 755 permissions, what else needs to be changed if anything on the server to get it working? Thank you very much for the help, I really apprecate it ![]() |

the newest windows media player does that, i'm willing to bet the next version will not. The mpgs are being protected, the problem is that the new player wants to reauthenticate, wich then pops your password box again, requiring the user to click in again. atleast that's what it does with my wmv's wich require the new windows player.

Ok, so as of now it looks like .htaccess will not work successfully for protecting .mpg or .mpeg files.
Changing directories may be the way to do it... ??? Thanks. |
