Straight-Edge kinda blended into different things over the course of time. Back when I was in the hardcore scene, straight-edge pertained more to not drinking/smoking/drugs.

There were vegetarians in the scene, but they were more of a sub-clique...

The whole anti-casual sex thing was never really big back in my day. You could bang whoever wanted to give it up and still be straight-edge... it was more about the non-drinking/smoking/drugs.
