Take your PC in your backpack -- get on a bus and get the hell out of Maine. Personally I'm going to Gainesville, Florida next week... it's a college town in the middle of nowhere -- ;) -- but guess what -- all the college kids are leaving town and just BEGGING people to take over their rent... Food is cheap as shit there because of the college students... Believe it or not you will be able to find places to live under $200/month if you just want a place to sleep and do your PC work... Summer will be easy because like I said it's a renters market w/ school out... If not Gainesville, choose any college town... I know how hard it is to be forced to move out of your current residence and try and find another place to live when you've got hardly any money to throw down for either the usual '1st & last months rent', plus/minus any kind of 'security' deposit!

I myself, make less then a 'grand' doing this biz, I also own a house that has a mortgage of about $2k per month PLUS my other shit bills...and the wife only brings home about $1500...so you can see our dilemma too...

HOWEVER, if Spacedog is really 'hard up' for some cash, and a few of you out there are willing to be generous and donate some $$$$, then I'm in too!

Peronally, I think it takes some balls to come to a public board and talk about personal shit that is going on in your life...cuz you'll NEVER know who out there reading your posts will believe you and not make fun of you!

It's easy for everyone to keep saying "get off your ass and get a job" when they're not in the same position. I've been there (well, not the wife/kids/restraining order bit) and it sucks big-time. I've lost everything I had twice in my life. The second time round was a real bitch: apart from 2 changes of clothing I had a computer and a cup and a cappuccino machine. And major debt. When you're in a hole like that it's difficult to get out of it: you have to keep borrowing more money, all your energy is sapped by trying to figure out ways of filling one hole with another. Amounts of money that seem ludicrously tiny to me now were insurmountable obstacles then. And somehow when your luck runs out that drastically, you just seem to attract more bad luck all the time.

I'll contribute to the Spacedog fund. To everyone who wants to kick Spacedog while he's down: Great going, guys, you're all heart.

And a special message to Bulldog: Get that foreskin fixed so you can get laid...having a sex-life will do wonders for your disposition.

We'd even swap you some meals for some back breaking labor on our house reno job. lol But I'd have to warn you, my old man has NO temper, not a short one. And you do not tic off someone with his training if you like breathing after that fact. lol

SD, the old man has found tons of really old car parts online. There are several junkyards in southern Ohio that have alot of the old stuff. They are nationally networked so they can find anything anywhere if it exists. He used to be into old cars and got parts that way. Mid 50's to 70 or so. Might want to check that way. But his opinion on a 66 LeSabre is: buy a old Geo. Its just not got the book to be worth the cost of repairs. And odds are the guy will want a storage fee so you might want to sign the title and leave it on his door on your way out of town. Saves him spending money to buy a salvage title.

About what happend with your wife, man i feel sorry for you cause if your wife realy does love and trust you she would not let this happen to you. I do understand your feelings against your mother up to a certain degree as it is not fair to handle the things as she is doing it. But this would only mean that you never had a good relation ship with your mother.
I know how it feels if you have to fight every day for the money and how it is when you don't know how to buy the food for the next day. But there is always a solution for any problem you have.
