It has been seven years since Yasser Arafat received the Nobel Peace Prize and in that time it has become abundantly clear that Mr. Arafat is far from the peacemaker that the world believed he would be. Israel made a fair, good faith offer to Mr. Arafat for a peaceful solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; rather than accepting or making a counteroffer, Mr. Arafat answered with violence. His constant pledge to achieve a Peace of the Brave has proven to be mere words, belied by his failure and unwillingness to take a public stance against organizations committed to acts of terror.

if i were arafat i'd be killin some isreali's too man, i think he took isreal's slogan of never again and said "never again am i going to let these ppl push me around", good job arafat i praise you, if peace can only come from violence is it worth it???

thats ok tho if they take the prize away from him, i'm just gonna make my own prize and give it to him, and btw the guy who first gave the nobel prize away is the same guy who MADE DYNAMITE!!! I mean that literally, i saw it on the discovery science channel the other night he only came up with that prize to cover his ass and it worked. maybe you should think about renaming the prize aswell.

You guys are talking without any sense. The man is a terrorist who responsible for death of many innocent people. If you was carefully watching the situation in Israel from the start of the new Intifada you was thinking different. Sharon gave Arafat too many chances to fight against the terrorists, but the truth is that Arafat was the terrorists manager himself. There were found many proves about it lately.

Btw, it's much more proves then the proves about the responsibilty of Bin Laden to the terror attack on New York.

Why don't I have an opinion? I live in Spain I'm Dutch I follow
the news but is that the real news.....or is it what "My World"
wants me to believe....Therefore I chose to stay out of any
political discussion.

Does that mean that I don't care? No it doesn't innocent people
die every day....on both sites.....and that sucks but for some reason politicians don't really care too much about that.....

Getting the worlds right and winning nobel prices seems more important.

I hope that figths and wars end soon no matter where they take

incedently the attack on new york was partially caused by the US support of isreal, and btw it wasn't arafat that could have possible been the manager of a terrorist organization it was one of his aides i think you need to go back to cnn.com and re-read the article, and Dyna you might wanna check out cnn.com right about now, cause your president is pretty pissed that sharon doesn't want the EU coming to the peace talks, and may suspend the treaty with isreal.

This sort of thing is the problem with BOTH sides... QUIT looking at the past and look to the future or you will be fighting when 3000 comes around. 4000... 5000... But at this rate neither side will BE around.

Sooner or later the rest of the World is going to get ticced at the BS going on there and Oops.

I Know full well how both sides see things there, going from people we know here that regularly go to Israel, others that are Muslims that I worked with as well aas my own relationship with a Native American that simply laughs at this crying going on over there.

The Native Americans finally decided to 'Fight No More Forever'. Get a clue and follow that thought. Maybe we should send some elite troops in and disarm you both. But with the hate you all have... you'd resort to clubs or camel dung to fight. Until BOTH Sides decide enough is enough, then it will continue.

You'll gain no alligience in this forum for one side or the other when both sides continue the BS. If its true that MOST Israelis as well as Palestinians want peace then why are you NOT standing up for that? So quit the sites whining about this that and the other and do something seriously constructive or drop it. Just a thought that I know won't happen anytime soon.

And offcourse anything that CNN publishes is the truth and
nothing then the whole truth......no offense but because
a paper prints something doesn't have to mean that it's true.

Yesterday, tv channels showed an Israel soldier that had a small photograph of Arafat on his tank. When the journalist asked him why he has a picture of his enemy he replied: "Arafat is a leader of a nation".

You see, the Israel soldier that is fighting has more sense than you do. Arafat is not a terrorist, is a leader of a nation you like it or not. Sharron is a leader of a nation. Personally I don't have any sympathy for none of them, but if you can't recognize their roles, you are far away from the right path.

CNN are showing the truth but not the whole truth. If say that Arafat wasn't the terrorists manager it means that you are not checking cnn.com much yourself, because I can't believe that they didn't wrote about the founded proves.
Also, I can understand your thinking if your only source is CNN, I watch it sometimes and see what they are talking about there.

Anyway, you should make a little research and see that there were found a papers of terrorists that Arafat's signature is on them. Also, a fake Israeli money was found in his buildings.

I KNOW why the Israelis are saying their stuff but I find fault with trying to 'win' over anyone on this forum. Its a hard FACT that until both sides decide they have had enough of the killing then it will keep going on. Both sides are screwing things up and sooner or later someone ELSE will have to paddle both sides. And we ARE totally against the ppl strapping bombs on, and don't find fault with going in and taking the arms away from the crazies. But maybe it IS time for a somewhat impartial group take over that duty so no one can say theor are favorites being played. In THIS situation aliens would have to do that and even then one side or the other would whine.

And you are VERY wrong in that I don't know folks from both sides of that squabble. And their main complaint is that it needs to stop on both sides. One guy we know, a Jew was even close by one of the bombings a few years ago. Close enough to describe the shrapnel sounds that MY old man has heard personally while he was over there several times sticking up for y'all.

I didn't say that everything who done by Israel is right and everything that Sharon does is right. I disagree with some acts too but remember the latest little war of America who called "War against terror" ? it's exactly the same thing here..

I just wanna see how you act, if a terrorist will shoot under your house in the middle of the day (yes, it really happened to me) ...

I'm sure that in America it was solved quickly, but when Israel even giving a chance after many acts like that and only then start their war against terror, many ppl in the world does support terrorists like Yasser Arafat.

if you are talking about the faxes where his aide was asking for money then yes cnn.com does say something about that, and i did go to college my friend and i actually wanted to be a history teacher so i think i know the situation fairly well.
