I usually click the sites nonconsole tour to check it out.

This is very frustrating. I am in the affiliate section and I click the link to look at a site, and I'll be damned if they don't pop a console on me!

I understand the conversation about console free links etc., but if I am a traffic guy, don't pop the console on me. Roger is 100% right.

If you pay someone over $300 a year you have to have them fill out a W9 it's the law if your in the states if not then you dont have to worry about it. Unless you dont believe in paying your taxes

yeah, I agree. I worked for one of the biggest exit chain users ever. I hated showing our programs off because I knew people would get pissed off once they closed out. But people still used it.

Then why do most of the other sponsors just send me the 1099 without me having to fax in anything?

To be honest I Dont have an answer I leave that up to my accounting. but I will look into it on Monday and have an answer for you tuesday if anything changes you will see it on our update page in the webmaster Admin sec. Right now My guess would be yes it is required for records if audited. but I could be wrong maybe someone with more knowledge can answer this for you before I do in this thread.

I personally dont mind it because it shows me exactly what the surfer gets. I want my webmasters to see exactly what the surfer sees too.

It all depends on where the promotion of the site exists.

I agree, but Geo-redirects are even worse. I can't even check out some sponsors sites without using a US-proxy.
