a question for SEO experts
creating a recip code in h1 tags like this:
<h1><a href="http://www.domain.com">Some Keyword Here </a></h1> and asking from my gallery submitters to use it, would that be a good or a bad idea ? would i be penalized by some search engines or it would bring me only good ?

Why do you get a better search engine ranking by adding the "nofollow" to the link?
I only know the "nofollow" in the meta tags, but this is only telling, that robots shouldn't follow the links...? |

H1 tags hold very little weight. When dealing with back links relevancy is key. The more relevant the two linking pages are the better the rank will be.

Why would you not accept a recip with H1? Do you look at the HTML for every recip? Its not like you could tell if the H1 tag is being altered by CSS to like regular text.

Also note that not all search engines recognize the nofollow tag.

yep this would work well
<a href="http://www.domain.com" title="keyword text">keyword text</a> H1 carries little significance in link but you could use an inline css style to reduce the size easy enough <h1 style="font-size goood idea to rotate the content around a theme in the button and keep them relevant to the page content/title |

I have several homepages and the ones wich are very old and have constant, small changes/updates on it get the best rankings. That's interesting too: It seems to me that google ignores the "add url" feature (for new URLs) at all and doesn't start to index until it finds links on other pages. |
