there are a bunch of "new camaro" design concepts floating around on the net right now... unfortunatley, none of them are designs that gm has created... they are all done by people who want to see the comback of the camaro... gm says they will be releasing the camaro again, but do not know what it will look like yet... they say that they will NOT be bringing the firebird/trans am back though (which is a shame, i have always found the pontiac f-bodys' to be a bit sexier looking than the chevy)
apparently gm wants do distance its pontiac division from its "we build exitement" redneck hotrod type image to something more refined such as bmw... personally, i think its a mistake to bring back the camaro only...
they have killed an icon, and it is a shame...Comment

hopefully gm will pay attention to what these concepts look like and create something much like it... the fourth gen body to me, was the most bland of the camaros... it didnt seem to have much character, it reminds me of a geo storm on steriods.Originally posted by Paraskass

Not bad looking cars. I really like some of the concepts that they come out with. I asked a rep at a show one time why they dont produce some of the concepts, even though they are affordable to the company etc, and he said, because the public is not ready for them. I've had many Camaros over the years, and I would love it if they brought it back with the resemblance of the first picture. However, GM seems to never make a production vehicle that looks anything like the prototype. Dodge has done a good job with it, though.
If the Camaro returns, which I hope it does, I would suspect it to look much tamer than any of these pics suggest.
