Apart from the irony here, I think you're absolutely right. :thumbsup

No bitching from me.

I enjoyed the show. :thumbsup

I was finally able to do some real business with people, without having to fight for their time and attention.

Hats off to Topbucks, for sponsoring the V-Bar. The fucking prawns were huge!! and you could actually talk to someone without music destroying your ear drums.

I'm still trying to figure out how to make money at this SEO thing.

hahaha, I figure the way I pitched it was I could afford the booth space but not to actually exhibit, lol. I would just stand there and say all day, no money in seo, just look at the booth! LOL

Show floor? Not very packed, but that doesn't mean it didn't work out for those that had booths.

Attendance was up. Very up.

In essence, opportunity existed, it was just a matter of taking advantage of those opportunities in ways that made sense.

No, its not. Working for a sponsor program, more people on the show floor means me wasting more of my time talking to people trying to sell me content or hosting or some 'new idea' that is going to 'change the industry' (lol).... or total noobs trying to use me as a consultant so they can get thier start in the adult business (and I dont mean newbie webmasters.. I mean people from 'mainstream' with some cash to spend and think that they can just waltz into adult and make money.. I started telling them i charge $250/hr for consultation..)

The ideal show floor for me personally is a less-busy one with a good group of quality people with traffic whom i can make deals with. If I come away from a show with just 1 traffic deal for maybe 10 sign-ups per day, that is a successful show. Not to mention the less busy the floor the more chances I get to visit other sponsors' booths (who we do alot of business with) and chat with them.

see, i can agree with that....but I also can agree with brother bareback

if I worked for someone and needed to get quality leads, i would be in your shoes....but being the person that owns what I am trying to sell, I would want tons of people and lure them all in with something sparkly, in hopes that 10-20% stayed on for the long run because I know how to treat em'

Jace 01-10-2006 10:29 AM

oh, and don't take what I just said as you not knowing how to treat people, i didn't mean that at all, it came out wrong

Its a good idea and yes should be considered..times have changed and they are a changin...in this biz someone told me way back 6 months is like 2 years....things move fast.

In my opinion if the studios are not doing biz with the internet companies is a big waste of time, the seperation between the 2 doing biz is huge, but the reality of the biz is very close. Old school minds over there in "studio land" guys like James from Hot movies and AEBN are changing minds ...the way we watch media is changing before our eyes..

As i said in just amazment of the AVN awards, what went thru my mind was the "future" what is it? Not just for Internext but the entire biz as a whole?

I am talking about DVD...will it end up in the same place as VHS? It would seem to be moving quickly that direction, then i ask myself, why do i see this and all these major studios dont?

The next big thing.....its moving right in front of our noses......

Combining both shows would be super exciting for us personaly, we are moving that direction anyway...as i said we made some monster deals with some studio at AEE.

Anyway that is my :2 cents:

Cory..you are 100% right...Smashbucks did some great biz........had time to talk to each an every person.

What is funny above someone talks about talking to NOOBS...and wasting his time or wanting to charge a consulting fee....lol This cracks me up, cause we were noobs once, and the people that helped us we never forgot and do deals with. That is what building great relationships is all about.

and again.....AVN AWARDS SHOW...was totaly off the hook....anyone on this board sitting in here dark little room needed to be there to witness just how fucking huge our biz is....first hand i can tell you seeing that blew me away.

Eveyone again: The Adult biz is alive and well...and not going anywhere soon!
