This is VERY serious stuff.

Everytime something new comes out, I check the symptoms online
and make sure I keep an eye out for it.

People in other countries, not the US. have more to fear. The US takes
serious steps to keep things like this from coming in.

Let's hope all countries do the same this time.

I'm sure Fox News, and others too, will blow Bird Flu way out of proportion like they did with New Orleans (10,000 dead ... in reality, about 1200), and more recently with the trapped miners (12 alive, then turns out only 1) this past week...

On an aside, it appears the "trapped" miners could have just walked out - one must wonder if the miners had the same mentality of many people who just sat by at the convention center in New Orleans waiting for help instead of doing something themselves, but I digress.

Why did you center on Fox news? I dont recall them blowing any of those stories ouf ot proportion. The 10,000 dead wasnt reported as 10,000 dead, but the number of body bags that the city had ordered. Fox fixed the miner misreporting soon as the new info was received. If you knew the story you wouldnt blame that one on the news. It was a foreman who overheard a radio message from in the tunnels, and misunderstood. He then called people on their cell phones, and even the Govenor was celebrating. But hey pin it on Fox news. *rolls eyes* :321GFY
