Just got back from having a few beers at one of my hideouts.

Went to Boardners today in Hollywood. Just an old bar, started in 1942 - great old hang outs for such Hollywood favorites as Orson Wells, Bela Lugosi, Ed Wood, and old Hollywood gangsters so elite names need not mentioned.

For no reason at all - I thought I would share a couple pics. Hopefully some of you who cant be here in Hollywood today will get a vicarious thrill or sense of diversity that you might not have since youre not here drunk with me...this is what I love about the Internet.

I know some of you are from lands far far away from Hollywood California, so I hope you enjoy.

Old bars are the best.

I hear about those pubs in England and Ireland that have been in the same spot for 400 years and look like it. I want to visit those so bad.

Fletch...there used to be this one bar I used to go to downtown LA..this was a real drunk bar where they only serve beer...you had the likes of Charles Bukowski hanging out there in his earlier years etc.

Anyway...I used to go there especially on Sunday's because they had independent films being shown there...that was until the owner of the bar in a drunken rage threw the projector off of the top of the building...LOL

I can't recall the name right off hand...but the walls are all covered with writing and graffiti...figured maybe you might have been there
