The judge is the guy who heard the case and background - but he's gotta be near the same level of the defendant. A 60 day term of imprisonment is no place near a timescale for the "rehabilitation" the judge is intending. That's gonna take years, if ever.

My best friend when I was a kid was abused by her uncle & spent years in therapy. She's fine now, married & happy but it kills me to know that this guy is still out there. She doesn't want to be dragged through the court process, which I can understand, but the idea that he could do that to another kid...I don't know what to do about it. He's been investigated after another allegation (by a cousin) & got off. When there's no physical evidence because the victims come forward as adults, it's tough to get the guy behind bars.
