So SinBucks is closing shop!

When I logged in the affiliates section I got the following message:

Welcome To SinBucks

Thank you for choosing to use SinBucks. We are very happy to have you as a reseller and will be glad to help you achieve more success in any way we can. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us using the support button at the top of every page.

SinBucks News

11/27 - SinBucks Set To Shut Down
Due to wishing to pursue other interests, SinBucks and all of its related websites will be shut down. All the join pages have already been deactivated and new members are not being processed.

I would like to thank you all for the hard work and dedication that you put towards SinBucks. You will be paid on time and in regular form.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't remember getting any email from them about them closing their sites.

And why didn't they simply sold it to someone else if they aren't interested in running it?

They shouldnt even give a reason for shutting down, because it just sounds like a "screw you" to all the affiliates, when they say "Due to wishing to pursue other interests".

Not necessarily. I would think their database, sites designs, domains, scripts and alredy made setups to be worth something for someone that doesn't want to start scratch...

Not really. My script checks for dead links and redirections, tho it takes it a week to go over every url in my databank. So I probably wasted at most one week of traffic on them.

Exactly. Are there any cases of failing adult programs that were successfully TURNED AROUND by the buyer?

Anyone behind the SinBucks crew I will never support in anyway again.

I never got an email from them or any attempt of them trying to let me know about them closing. FUCK THEM!

You better get a new script that checks for dead links then.

What other script can go thru more than 200,000 links faster and without taxing the server?

Talk about an old bump...

Brad sold the sites to someone I suppose about 2 years ago now? Perhaps longer at this point. Then the new owner closed them, well when this was started in late 2005/early 2006.

I think the point was that you wrote in January about a site closed in November. So on the face of it, although you said your script got through your database in a week, it looked like it was running a lot slower than that...

Hi y'all

Just happened to run into this thread. Couple of things:

1) Yes I did sell it over two years ago
2) I supported and advised the new owner during the original transition and then when he closed the program. I know first hand that all payouts were made and affiliates were notified by email. If you didn't get an email it simply must have hit a spam filter unless you had incorrect information in the affiliate system. I can vouch for the integrity of that process.
3) Because it was originally my program I acquired all of the assets after it was gracefully closed to ascertain that they would not be misused or monitized on in any inappropriate fashion.

I have all of the domains, content, everything in a safe. LOL

Enough time has passed DatingGold that if you are interested in the SINBUCKS.COM domain name or any of the other 40 fantastic 'sin' domains I'll entertain offers

JScott, I'm sorry that you somehow missed getting the information timely. I made certain that when this guy moved on to other business that everything was closed up in a matter that was fitting with my reputation even though it was no longer my company to manage.

Cheers,

Brad

Unfortunately it would be more complicated than that. Reality is the site designs are not that good by todays standards and reusing them properly would involve relicensing of content which would be hard to nail down by todays standards since I originally bought over 500,000 photos from tons of content providers it would be hard to know which pics in the tours were from where - basically an administrative nightmare!
