Costa Rica Bash

What hotel is everyone staying at? The Best Western or the other one? Also - anyone planning on going down there earlier and/or staying a few days after the show? Is there anything going on down there before and/or after the show. Post and let us know. Also - Chio and I are thinking about sponsoring a webmaster waffle breakfast party and are wondering who likes waffles.

im staying after the show for another 5 days or so.

the deal with the hotels is. first night is at the best western to see san jose. then the next morning they shuttle us all to the beach resort. so everyone will be staying at both out of conveniences sake.

*edit

waffles rock, especially when served by hot costa rican women.

Ahhhh, so when you book the hotel, you'll be staying at both hotels, so you only have to book once through the Costa Rica Bash website?

Also I couldn't agree more with you on your take on the waffles.

yes, thats the way that keith and sam explained it to me. i'm not too keen on picking up one day after i get there to move to another hotel, but if thats part of the trips experience, then i'm all for it.

Actually, from what I understand, we have to pick up and move twice. From San Jose to Jaco, from Jaco back to San Jose. Oh well, I'm ready to have a great time.

well, that sucks. i may opt to just check into jaco and not do that best western thing at all. we'll see. i'm a very lazy person when it comes to tropical islands and being on the beach.

YARGH! I was planning on going a few days before, and leaving a few days after, the hotel thing seems a bit screwy though. Should be a blast either way. Looking forward to meeting everyone. WAFFLES!

I think they did the hotel stays that way because Jaco is about 2 hours from San Jose. That way you have a bit of a break from a 2 hour ride after being on a long flight. In any case, I am sooooooo looking forward to this. Sounds like it is going to be a perfect blend of business and relaxation.

Oh and I vote for waffles!!

Not yet. I'm not sure yet whether they have good gear or if I should lug my own gear down with me. I'm going to try to find out over the next few weeks.

I'm going to start researching the whole thing and see what seems to shake out. It's always better with your own gear, but it's so damn heavy and bulky, it takes up all of your luggage space.
