I did that once in Daytona Beach. Had been in the Hilton for a while and was going home. Looked in a bottom drawer and founf like 400 bucks and 500 in travelers checks. Gues I got drunk and hid it one nite lmao

Currently, $1 USD = 496 colones

When I came here in Oct 2003, $1 USD = 406 colones

So it appreciates quite nicely, while the price of most things remains the same (doesn't give in to inflation, since the people here all earn colones).

It's basically, a raise every day when you get paid in USD here
