My Dad's old paintings...

when my dad was in his 20's he made these crazy ass paintings. i think they're cool so i have 2 hanging up in my apartment. just wanted to share and see if you thought they were interesting. the second one looks kinda weird because of the flash, but you can still see it...

Wow... I like those. Amazing color combos, motion and depth.

I wouldn't mind some of those hanging in the office.

the crazy thing is, my dad painted that long before i was born. but i've had friends tell me they think it says "dave." that's my name, and if you look closely, you can kinda see how it might resemble the word dave...

If you look hard enough, I'm sure you'll come up with them saying a whole bunch of other things too. All you have to do is want it bad enough.

Very cool, my mom is an award winning artist, we have some of her paintings in our house too. Always cool to say "My mom/dad painted that." Not to mention they are great pieces you can keep for generations and pass on to children etc for them to enjoy and have the history.

My grandfather was an oil painter..I have several of his hanging up here. I've inherited his artistic streak when it comes to drawing but I can't paint too well. It's great to have his paintings though.

Someone likes acid.
J/K, I went to the Met to check out Van gogh's exhibit, I think your dad painted something that in my opinion was far better than some of the shit van gogh sketched, but who am I to judge ?
