just picked it up... got adobe premier too... heard I should give Studio DV a shot...

opinions?

Studio DV is great as long as you're using a digital video camera through firewire connected to your machine. There are people out there that will tell you Premiere is the best... and yeah, it gives you way more options but Studio DV is great for simple editing, branding of video clips, whatever you need.

It's also almost idiot proof... VERY easy to use.

Yep, as ihateastro said. Learning to use Premiere properly can take ages, I've been working with it for years and it still pisses me off at times. Studio DV is much more intuitive.
