    Why Isnt Boxing Day Big In The US?

    Never really understood why you guys dont celebrate Boxing Day also.

                  the name given to the December 26th public holiday, which was synonymous with the boxing and exchanging of gifts that would normally occur on this day by the slaves

                  i guess its the same as with thanks giving day with the yanks , just one of those traditions that doesn't carry over

                  here in australia , the only celebrations we have on boxing day is the cricket , and stocktake sales
