That would depend on the type of traffic. I would never send 30k unique paid clicks to "test" a sponsor. 30k x .05 per click (low average) = $1500 invested to test. 1-700 @ 35 per sale to break even.

It all depends on the type of traffic. I have a HUGE shit list of sponsors that I am slowly kicking to the curb. I would never name them because as proven in this thread what doesn't work for one person works for another.

You just need to watch your numbers and make changes. It doesn't hurt to post asking for sponsors that have certain niches you need etc. but naming those that don't work for you (unless you have concrete proof of problems ie: Pib Cash) just starts a flame war on this board.

Yeah - dont worry - names will be posted here anyways - no problemo.

Fuckemoff.com will give webmasters the choice of whether or not to promote a program based on facts presented by anyone OTHER than the sponsor - sponsors will not get a say.

This is an adult webmaster forum right?

Alot of hate in here and people 'hiding' sponsor names... I am sorry if the creation of this thread seemed negative, I am just obtaining feedback on this issue. I dont think Panchodog is going to lose business because 'dvd316 said we converted bad on GFY'... c'mon seriously.

I never said company x are scum or anything personal... its just business, and its all good.

The only way to accurately compare traffic productivity sent to different sponsors is to track outbound raw hits yourself and figure out the $ per raw click sent for each sponsor.

This should be done for each traffic source, as everyone knows that conversions are completely dependent on traffic source (that is, different sources of of traffic sent to the same site will have different ratios).

Anything other than this (comparing different sponsors' stats with varying traffic sources) is not a fair or accurate measurement of traffic productivity.

seriously, WOW

I can't even imagine dealing with anything that converts 1:1000 or worse, i'd be pissed too.
