bandwidth/stats problem
I am having a problem.
The bandwidth measured in the server switch (hardware) is not matching the values in the stats. I am using awstats, and I know a stats program is not occurate enough, but I am having a lack of 1 terabyte (never happened)... mysterious traffic. Hotlink its not an option - I have anti-hotlinking. Also, its not a stolen password problem - i have checked,double checked and "tripled" checked, and keep checking. any help is welcome. |

Are you comparing MRTG to awstats?

yes it should you should be checking your usage directly from the switch via MRTG charts ultimately IMHO...do you have access to MRTG? If not you should request this from your host ASAP especially if you have a dedicated account.

awstats accounts only your http traffic.
Theres mail,ftp and other traffic that awstats doesn't count. 1Tb seems a bit too much tho for extra traffic. |
