I owned a 1979 Ford Taunus, and that was more horrible than any of those. New opels 95-onwards are nice.

Trabant was East German, and Skoda is still Czech. but since VW bought them, the quality has step up a lot and now they compete with VW (having a much lower price)

Yes, skoda has improved and is a good quality car now... but it certainely didn't use to be.
