Well as if the information the other day was not enough that AVN likes to charge for the assistants to our brothers in wheel chairs, today they hit a new low.

I went to get my mail, and found this in it.

Not in a wrapper, not in a bigger envelope, just like you see it, but with my address.

Had it said pornographers, it would not have bothered me. And I dont have a problem with Gay men or women, and I dont have a problem with straight men or women that work in gay porn. But I do have a problem with you sending something that the people who deliver my mail can look at, that allows nosy people to form opinions, and talk. And guess fucking what. POEPLE are NOSY!

And I dont need or want the issues that can come from people talking. I dont only work in porn, but we do mainstream business. Explaining it saying pornographers would have been easy.

Attention to detail and taking the time to notice the little things go a long way in life. Seems to be something AVN is completely oblivious to. Good organization overall, but they seem to fall seriously short too many times for them to have much credibility left.

As for AVN, I totally disagree with them doing what they did, thats terrible judgment on their part. And when they get called out on it, they should fix the problem with no ifs, and, or buts about it.

THATS the thing. I DO LIVE IN a small town. The big problem for me, is that I live in Mexico. And the Mexican government has taken children from thier parents because one of them was gay. My son was born here, and that makes him a mexican citizen. He is also a US citizen, but imagine the issues, and the money in attorneys fees, if this spread.

Despite all the complaints, I don't understand why AVN still does it ...

Surely AVN must realize that many adult webmasters, etc don't want the whole world knowing what they do.

From a marketing standpoint, an envelope as in the scanned picture is likely to get tossed straight away, while a plain, descreet business looking envelope is more likely to get opened and read.

Pissing off adult webmasters seems like bad business - many already are wary of AVN because they feel their privacy won't be respected.

They're idiotd for that mailing and assholes for not apologizing. If I was an advertiser, I would be PISSED because it's obvious their lack of judgement will lose a tremendous amount of the crossover subscriptions that their advertisers want to reach. You didn't have a choice about receiving it either! They sent that mailing out to everyone.
