i dont know much about the music industry, but a good DJ wouldnt have to go around posting on message boards and begging for gigs.

"World class" DJ's don't call themselves world class.
They don't throw around random, useless offtopic bullshit like "I've been in a movie". Who gives a flying fuck? You might be fucking Tom Cruise, but if you can't play, you can't play. That's it.
