    AVN - Is this true?

    After Shock Media just made this post:

    As some of you know I am a parapalegic (aka gimp in a chair) and I use a manual wheelchair (aka non electric). This means that I must bring an attendant with me. Naturally this means I must cover the cost for this person even know they really could care less about being on the show floor. Of course AVN could give a rats ass about this so I must still get a badge for someone that will just be helping me out and pushing me. This is almost like them charging a blind guy for an extra ticket for his seeing eye dog.
    I am saddened that you guys would do that. Special passes for "content" but charge full price for an attendant that is obviously needed?

    Give me a break.

                                                          I know sly it isnt a big deal. Like I said earlier it is a principle thing with AVN. I always buy them and it is not that big of a deal. I am very used to having double the costs of shows just like you are. Though I rarely attend the parties aside from the suite ones since transpo always fucking sucks ass and ussually the parties require them.

I can pretty much almost rule out cabs since everything will be busy as hell due to the venues. Combining that with an experience last year with a cab and well I am pretty sure I will be renting a car this year and keeping it in the hotel garage.

                                                                                                                                                                              i mean stuff like getting onto shuttles or transpo or anything like that. i am sure it wouldn't take very much effort for a few of us to lend a hand at approriate times to make sure you don't get left back for some reason like no lift on a shuttle or getting some help into or out of a building. that stuff is easily accomplished.

                                                                                                                                                                              our event there is on the saturday, the big night at the show. i'll find out any details in advance so you don't have to deal with any unknown obstacles.

If I can get there I would HAPPILY take you around the show. First of all it would be absolutely no problem at all for me to take a fellow webmaster around. Second of all, I'll just be happy to be at a show after being in the biz for 3 years and never having been to one.

                                                                                                                                                                                              But, half price for the wheelchairbound sounds fair too. So, how about cheaper tickets for the dudes in a wheelchair, as some of them need to be pushed around all the time? That would be normal and fair too.

                                                                                                                                                                                              Just a real lack of 'thinking' by AVN, as usual.
