Now, if you were in Northern Ontario, I'd go for the 900; lots of open sweeping trails with lots of lakes; *then* the 900 would be a blast.

I prefer small light sleds; it's great to out-ride bigger sleds on the trails. I had an MXZ 440 that was untouchable. Now riding a Ski-doo Legend 600; more power, but doesn't quite handle like the 440.

Ravo Ever Snowmobiled Up near Bancroft. the trails are amazing

I've owned 3 or 4 snowmobiles growing up. All different power ranges. I would get bored after not long though depending on the power. The 900 fusions fucking fly, I know someone with one. I would get it :)

Actually, no. But, I've heard its good.

I'm a little east of Bracebridge, so I've been doing a lot of sledding around here, and a bit north and east (Dorset, Dwight etc).

Lived in Sudbury a few years ago, and the trail system is truly great. Lots of wide open trails, fast and fun.

Krille 12-16-2005 10:45 AM

go with the 600! polaris all the way!

AcidMax 12-16-2005 11:08 AM

Depends on what you do. I have 2, 2000 Polaris Indy 500 sleds. Mine are great, I am not out for doing 110 on a trail. If you are looking just for fun, get the 600, they are still plenty fast enough. I know I have had mine up to 65 or so, never cared to try beyond that.

My brother in law has a MX 750 or something, and that thing is pretty fast too. Polaris makes the best sleds imho. I will never use another brand. We just got about 8" of snow this week, so this evening the wife and I are throwing on our Choko riding gear and heading out on the trails (the state trail is 300 feet from my house at the end of my driveway :)) I can jump on it and ride all over Michigan even to the U.P.

However you should see these things, the 600's are high output and crank out alot of power with a small displacement. They are just like those speedy 600 sportbikes, sure the 1000's can kickass in a straightline but a 600 is a blast in the twistys and is much lighter.

That is true as well. I just got ride of an R1 for a GSXR750 because it was so much funner to ride.

To bad you can't test them, or can you?

The motorsports places around here let you take em out for a little spin. I would think it would be the same there, but who knows.

Hey Mark....I will give you my honest opinion based on experience. I know you already know the answer is the 600. Our egos always say by the Big Bore....I have riden 800's and 900's and even my 1000 for years now. I can handle them, but after a day of blasting through trails, I am fucking dead. When my buddies on the 440 sno cross sleds and the boys on the 600's are all fired up for the next day, I feel like going nowhere. It is a 600 for me this year for the exact reasons you said. The reviews, the reliabilty and the rideabilty.
