    google selling out normal rankings

    how do you feel about this ?

    its common knowledge that nowadays you can just buy rankings on google, and I am not talking about the ads on the right ?

                          yeah , but it is not really what the users want , the users looking for something dont want a result based on $$$ , they want/ need results based on relevance


                          I think in a way it is a bad move from google to do this thing however I am actively involved in it as we speak, but still it would be better for me if the rankings were only based on relevance and not on $$$

                                                                  hmm, are you thick ? I am not talking about normal advertising but about letting users think a site is ranked based on relevancy while in fact in reality its ranked based on $$$

                                                                  with the ads on the right and on top the users knows they are just that ads , but if you allow ranks in the normal listings to be obtained trough $$$ you are deceiving the user base that made you big !

If the site has little or no relevance to what they are looking for, then they will hit the back button or close the window and go to the next ranked or the most relevent by contextm once again they are going to go elsewhere, money wasted. Most sites out there do not even care about pr, they are information sites, the ones that sell a product usually PAY someone to design their sites in a way to get high pr which is usually by making the site as relevant to it as possible to the search words. There are the tricksters also but who has shown a hands down, unequivicle link between google tricks without providing good relevance to get high ranks and then profits over someone who designs a site with relevance to the search with good content that would also score well and also have viral advertising as well as what the surfer wanted?

My ?                                                                                                                       So you expect to just waltz in here, post a claim that the largest search engine in the world today is crooked. That's a pretty serious accusation.

                                                                                                                      Many webmasters in this place do know what they are talking about when it comes to google. They know about it a lot more than both of us do. When you are not backing your claim up by posting some link to an article or other reliable source, you are doing nothing else but hurt your credibility.

                                                                                                                                              no one has mentioned this in the seo world so even if it DOES makes sense that they sell their normal rankings (when did google become so needing of cash) we want to see something to back this up!
