Golfers, What is a good driver to buy someone for Xmas?
I'd like to get someone a driver for Christmas. I don't know anything about golf. Can anyone here tell me what the best drivers are? Thanks ;)

Callaway seems to be popular with my Dad's little group of golfing buddies. They are all retired guys that have nothing to spend their money on besides golf-related crap.

A good driver should be custom made to the golfer, taylor made is the starting choice though, from there, you want to find out what type of swing he has, graphite shafts are important for drivers, and the grip is just as important..
grips can easily be changed so try and find out if he/she likes stiff shaft or reg flex |

oh yeah, the loft of the driver is also important
if he is a pro, he will want a 8.5 or 9 loft, A 10 loft will be easier to hit but not drive the ball as far best bet is a 9 |
