had my first problem with them yesterday, for some reason I couldn't change the DNS on one of my domains :(

I usually wait a while after they have been registered to check them. I am sure sometimes it is a lot quicker than an hour, but just hedging the bet to be sure I am accurate. :) |
only have mainstream non adult, non business domains hosted there. No problems. Are you guys hosting adult sites there?

I use them for all of our domains - well over 200 - when I get new ones, they are active and even online on my server in WAY less than 24 - 48 hours. Today I bought several new ones and they were "live" in less than 6 hours on my server...
I email my rep for renewals and new purchases, and it's all SO damn simple. Fitz |

Saying you have not had a problem with godaddy is like having a heart murmur and telling your friends " i havent had a heart attack YET, so i'm fine"
If you look at all the people with issues with godaddy its the same scenario. They get F'd over, and can get no support. I've sent 22 emails to godaddy requesting some level of resolve from them and gotton NOT ONE response... willysbirthday 'at' gmail.com if you are one of the godaddy reps here that are spending your resources trying to have clean PR rather than fixing actual issues. |
i have only heard bad stuff about them
|
I dont use them.

I don't use them, and never will again, but with $180 million in annual sales - they're doing something right

I've bought / sold / transferred-in / transferred-out / backordered domains via GoDaddy with no problems.
While "no problems", I can't say it's hassle free ... trying to do most anything takes lots of clicks while keeping a close eye on all the various checkboxes, buttons, etc so as to not accidently buy anything extra; very convoluted interface... Their 60 day no-tranfer policy for an intra-registrar transfer is BS ... such a policy suggests GoDaddy can't complete on service, price, etc and instead resorts to "hostage" tactics. On an aside ... folks with adult / controversal domains do best to avoid GoDaddy completely - horror stories abound of domains being suspended, etc. Ron |
