I'm hoping to get to see it soon. I have a buddy that went to the sneak peak last night. I haven't talked to him yet to see how it was... waiting until 9am when he gets to work!

I don't mind sitting thru a 3 hour movie........in fact, some of the best movies I've ever seen are around that length........as long as the characters are developed properly and we are entertained even thru that process. I hear for Kong, its the first hour before they get to Skull Island, and that first hour is all about fleshing out the characters.

actually he is reproducing a reproduction if he is not using the original story line of going to find the ape, if they happen upon the ape it is a remake of the 1970's version. Isn't making a movie out of a book, kinda the same? Not much originality coming out of tinsel town.

Chics dig the "love story", I never saw it that way till I saw a special and they talked about how Kong or Mighty Joe Young loved the chics and protected them or what-not. Sounds to artsy/romantic to me, I just saw a giant ape smashing shit and taking his sacrifice as his. All in interpretation i suppose

Watching the original as a child is what inspired him to go into film making in the first place... so its been a goal of his.
