What dont you get.
Its pretty simple
Team A is playing Team B.

Team A is -7
Team B is +7

Lets say i take Team B and put my money on them.
Now lets say the final score is Team A 93 and Team B 98.
Since Team B wins, i win the bet and get paid.

Now lets sai the score is Team A 98 and Team B 93.
This is where that +/- 7 comes in play.
Since i took Team B +7, i get to add 7 to my score, think of it as a handicapp. It avoids betters from always picking the better team and the favorite to win.

I know add 7 to my score making it 100, and i also win.

Thats the basic straight bet. There is a lot more, but that is what the +/- means.

I hear ya. There are a couple teams that have shit records that really have good teams. Toronto is another example. They are going to get better and better. C Bosh is the shit and so is Petterson. I love betting on them as dogs.
