GUANGDONG public security department agreed with local telecommunications companies to pay a reward of up to 2,500 yuan (US$309) to people who report porn Websites in the province, a Guangzhou-based newspaper reported today.

The reward has three conditions:

*Guangdong Websites offer links and advertisements for porn Websites;
*Websites set up by Guangdong people to offer porn video, audio clips, pictures and articles;
*Websites set up in servers in Guangdong Province to spread porn.

For each Website, the provincial department will pay the first informant 1,000 yuan to 2,500 yuan in 30 days after they confirm the information and close the case.

People can dial 110 or send emails to the department or they can log on to www.gdnet110.cn or www.gdnet110.gov.cn to report and identify themselves with a six-digit number code. The department will keep informants' information secret, and they can claim rewards with the code.
