Only 3 Howard Stern Radio Shows left
This marks the end of an era of radio that may never be repeated. Opie and Anthony tried hard to beat Howard but were forced to leave Terrestrial Radio. Howard made the move voluntarily. I've got my Sirius on. |

 | I want to get Sirius just so I can listen to HS. Would I need to make any changes to my car stereo to make this work?? I know dumb question but it's easier to ask than to research. |

I've been on Sirius for a long time. I looked at XM but frankly their line up didn't look as good. I was glad to hear that Howard chose Sirius cause I didn't want to get XM. My only regret, not buying SIRI stock a year ago.

My Mercedes was made a year before they integrated Sirius so I have an external unit. I have the JVC SIRIUS radio KT-SR2000 and you can take it from car to home to office with the various docking stations and even a boombox for it. For the car the powerbase has a built in FM modulator which works ok, but they have an antenna input FM modulator that works great. You can also use a tape adapter or if your car has an auxillary jack that's ideal.

 | Howard was good while he lasted. Now he will go onto Sirius and do a bunch of x-rated shows and use a lot of profanity. That doesnt really interest me. |

His goal was never to be able to have a show where he could drop F-bombs for 5 hours straight. He wanted to be in a place where if someone wanted to express the F-bomb they could without getting a fine. I don't think he'll treat Satellite like the Wild West but he will challenge the status quo there too.

Sweet - I've been dropping hints of wanting a SIRIUS radio for Xmas ;) If that doesn't work I'll get it myself. Thanks for the info.

 | I am not a huge Howard Stern fan but I certainly give him credit for all he has done. With moving to Sirius he has more creative direction, the ability to create new shows as well as getting even more disgusting than normal, but it works for him and he ended up getting 500 million out of it.... he was being interviewed on 60 minutes Sunday, good show!!!
